Here is a clown I'm making for a test. Just did a render with him for fun. 8) I'm going to start doing some game animation cycles and emotions this week!
I'm making a cartoony game clown character test for gaming. The limits for this game character are only 50 joints, 2500 triangles, and one 1024x1024 texture map with a Diffuse, a Normal and a Specular map. When I'm done rigging him I am going to animate some cycles and different emotions. Its going to be a ton of fun animating him! :D
One of my favorite things to do to relieve any stress or to take my mind of things is to just pick up a piece of clay and sculpt something out of it without much planing. Just sculpt anything and move the clay freely to see what creature comes up! Here are a few little monsters I made for fun! :D
Here is another pose test I did with the moom rig to show arrogance with the body language, line of action and emotion expression on his face. The over sized crown and cane help too! :D
All my life since I was a kid I wanted to make animated movies and work on feature films as well.
I started out as a little boy using my my dads camera making stop motion animated movies with clay characters and toys. I found out how much fun it was to just spend hours on making an animation and finally showing it to my family and friends. I loved gathering them to watch my little movies and seeing how they react and laugh. It was a ton of fun and great memories!
Now I actually know how to create animations so I want to make one of my life dreams come true by making my own real short animation film. Where my unique character designs, weird stories and ideas can finally come to life.
Above is a character design test that I drew for one of the characters on the short. Stay posted as I will keep updating on how the short film is progressing and more details on the story. I'm planning on getting some of my close friends from school as well as talented passionate artist who want to help me create this short film.
I am really excited and now currently working on the story, camera angles and designs.
One of the best places to see a variety of different people and characters is on the trains in New York. You never know whats going to happen or what crazy people you see each ride you take! :D Weather its people screaming, fighting, selling, asking for money, singing, talking, dancing, playing music or just plain acting weird there is always something interesting that happens. Its fun to see and observe the little things people do while they wait on the train which is great reference for future animations I work on. Here are a few life drawings I did while taking a ride to Walsh Family Media Studios in Brooklyn where I work as a 3D animator.
Strong poses with clear line of action, silhouette, and emotion are key to creating animation! So here are a few cartoony poses I did with the moom rig for practice.
This is my first time using any blog. Needed as place to show case my animation and art work since my website is down for now. So I will use this as my new portfolio website and give updates on how my animation work and career is progressing. Thanks to anyone who visited and I hope you enjoy my work! -Adriel
